Comparison contrast Ohio and Arizona desert winters December 3, 2014

Filed under: Uncategorized — Candace Hughes @ 5:10 pm

Crossing the Ohio River I see a great difference between the wide briskly flowing river and the normally dry Salt river bed in the Phoenix area. The brown dead flowers are similar to those shades of brown in the Arizona desert landscape. However, there are still some evergreen trees in Ohio as well as Palos Verdes and other green vegetation such as saguaros in the central Arizona Sonoran Desert. There is a squirrel and my parents have seen rabbit footprints in the snow at their Rural home in Ohio, but in my Arizona backyard I see many more birds, rabbits, and even our back porch Owl.
